Day 4- British Museum, Mass, Pub Dinner

Today we went to the British Museum. Every place I go to is simply breathtaking and I can hardly believe that I am in London getting to experience all that it has to offer. The British Museum is enormous! It's difficult to describe all that it has.

My favorites are the Easter Island head and the arm of the "colossal Egyptian head."

The Program treated us to a very nice pub dinner tonight following Mass. It was at the Knights Templar, and it was the first time I really felt full since being here. Soon, I will have to learn how to cook for real. So far, I've been living on grilled cheese and grapes.

Tomorrow classes begin, so we'll see what my schedule winds up being. London Art and Architecture meets Mondays, so I think it'll be a good way to start the week.

Cheers!
The Rosetta Stone. The real one. It is incredible. I can't believe that Aunt Barbara and Uncle Leonard worked to read hieroglyphics.

Colossal Hand
Colossal Head to which the hand belongs. All of the amazing Egyptian displays brought me back to the days when I wanted to be an Egyptologist. It was incredibly cool.

Easter Island Head-- I felt like I was in Night at the Museum. I really wanted him to say "Dum-Dum...Give me gum gum!!" But he did not.

The Easter Island Head's name means "Stolen or hidden friend." I liked this. It is also appropriate because much of what is at the British Museum is not, in fact, British.
